Mayafolket tyckte att cenoter kunde användas som offerplatser eller för att ta skydd i. Tydligen finns här många underjordiska floder som gröper ur kalkstenen och när “taket” rasar in bildas vattenfyllda håligheter, cenoter. Den första vi badade i var nedsänkt ca 15 m under markytan och 140 m djup. Mörkt vatten och många turister. Igår badade vi i Cenote Christalinos, en azurblå pöl mitt i djungeln med grottor på ena sidan och mangroveträsk på den andra. Det var bara vi där och det kändes inte helt ok att kliva i vattnet precis intill en halvmeter stor ödla som övervakade varje steg vi tog. Mangroveträsk och snorkling känns inte heller riktigt som om de hör ihop. Men vi samlade mod och hoppade i för att snorkla. Häftigt!

Hejsan hoppsan! tro det eller ej, men jag(Lovisa) är faktiskt med på resan även fast jag inte är den aktivaste bloggaren.

Mexiko är både fint och spännande, men det som är mest spännande är att dela rum men linus eftersom att det inte går en natt utan att han pratar i sömnen. Härom natten vaknade jag av att han satt upp i sängen, paddlade med armarna och gungade fram och tillbaka samtidigt som han gnällde oroligt. För att lugna honom lägger jag handen på hans axel och säger tyst hans namn. Det hjälpte för han tysnade och la sig ner igen. Efter en liten stund frågar jag av ren nyfikenhet vad han hållt på med och som svar får jag “inget, det är du som håller på!” tack tack, då fick man skulden för det.

Nu ska jag lägga mig i blåsten och försöka sola ett tag. / lovisa
